American Vintage II is a series of highly accurate recreations of the revolutionary electric guitars and basses that changed the history of music. With period-accurate body shapes, necks, hardware configurations, premium finishes, and vintage-voiced pickups that capture the essence of authentic Fender craftsmanship and tone. It's one book.

By 1973, the CBS design had become standard, and Fender guitars and basses to that spec were widely used by rock, funk, fusion, and prog players around the world. Weekly late-night music shows like Don Kirshner's Rock Concert and Midnight Special put Fender products in the public eye more than ever before and elevated the Stratocaster's presence in pop culture. It happened.

The American Vintage II 1973 Stratocaster is equipped with three Pure Vintage '73 Staggered Pole pickups, a large headstock with dual string tree specifications, a convenient Bullet-style truss rod nut on the head, and a Micro-Tilt (TM) Equipped with a 3-bolt neck plate. With a 1973 C-shaped maple neck and 7.25"-radius maple or rosewood fingerboard with 21 vintage tall frets, it's like stepping back in time to 1973.

Developed to celebrate Fender's iconic guitar shape, the American Vintage II 1973 Stratocaster is available in an ash body and two finishes: Lake Placid Blue and Mocha. The Mocha is the first Stratocaster with a Black pickguard. Other premium features include vintage-style F logo tuning machines, bent steel saddles and synchronized tremolo with cold-rolled steel blocks.

American Vintage II is a series for players who love the tone and feel of vintage Fender, faithfully reproducing the guitars and basses that laid the foundation for Fender. The guitars and basses that have made the history of music are revived with modern technology.
