This more recent cultivar of the Opium Poppy has large solitary blooms that emerge sequentially from June to August and are an appealing plum-purple tint. They make great border plants and have the most beautiful hues which are highly decorative in the winter.
Growing instructions:
From March to April, sow thinly, 1.5 cm deep, into carefully prepared, well-dug, healthy soil that has already been watered. Typically, seedlings germinate within around 14–21 days. keep the plants well-watered. Water plants thoroughly after planting especially during warm days. Poppy Papaver Somnifreum Laurens Grape bloom from June through to September.
