⭐️ The Ohio collection is known for an unbroken string covering 30 years of Golden Age and Silver Age comics- twice the time that pedigree giants Edgar Church/Mile High and the Crippen pedigrees covered! This collection, which is easily identifiable by the distributor marks on the cover, was accumulated in Akron, Ohio and came to market over a period of years in the 1990s. This collection is highly sought after for its Golden Age issues and highly ranked page quality among pedigrees.

⭐️Roy Thomas calls this issue of ALL STAR “the weirdest All-Star ever" - - it begins with the male JSAers all being killed! Saving the day is left up to Black Canary (who makes her debut in this title) and Wonder Woman who rarely played a prominent role in a JSA story, but takes center stage here). The issue is also notable for having early Alex Toth art - - the great one was still a teenager when he drew this issue's cover. Toth also drew the beginning and end of the story; the middle portions are the work of Carmine Infantino and Bob Oksner respectively.

DC and other publishers had generated dozens of superheroes in the couple of years after the introduction of Superman in 1939, but until All Star Comics , none of them had introduced the concept of a group of heroes joining together to fight as a team. Then in the pages of All Star Comics these characters suddenly existed in an inter grated world. Green Lantern, Flash, Wonder Woman, Hawkman, Atom, Spectre, Dr. Fate, Sandman - all of these heroes were early members of the Justice Society of America, fighting alongside each other within the pages of All Star Comics. Batman and Superman also appeared in the team-up context in this popular title.

All Star Comics from the very start is One of the central pillars of Golden Age collectina of all time. Just recently All Star Comics #8 (9.4 highest grade) broke a record and sold for over 1.2 million 😮
