Welting, also called puff cord, seat cord or welt piping because of the round edge, is a fabric-covered cord made of upholstery fabric. Welting is sewn with a fabric lip to insert it between fabric pieces with the puff edge remaining visible. It's often used on the edges of arm rests and seat cushions.

This puff cord welting has a piece of 1/8" clear plastic tubing running through it. Measures approximately 5/8" H x 1/4" W overall.
