NB nearly all trilobites that are collected in Morocco have been repaired somewhere. The fossils lay in the rocks in all kinds of directions, so there is no way of telling where it will be.
They use hammers to break the rocks open to reveal the fossils. And sometimes that means going through the fossil! This should never put a buyer off! A repaired fossil is a genuine fossil. And a good indicator when looking for a real fossil!
Restoration is when part of a fossil is made up with some kind of paleo putty or something similar! This improves the overall appearance of the fossil. Where a part maybe missing or damaged. This is very normal in fossil preparation. Nearly every fossil in a museum has been restored!
I will always asses my my fossils carefully, and will include any restoration I believe it to have!
I never sell casts or replicas!
