Bowie was accompanied by Mike Garson and David Sanborn from his touring band; new guitarist Carlos Alomar; Willie Weeks on bass; and Andy Newmark on drums to replace Tony Newman. Ava Cherry, Robin Clark (Alomar’s wife) and Luther Vandross provided backing vocals.
