Back: “Helmcken House, Victoria, British Columbia. Helmcken House, one of
British Columbia’s most valuable monuments is situated behind Thunderbird Park.
This house was named after its owner, designer, and builder Dr. J.S. Helmcken.
Speaker of the legislature assembly of Vancouver Island, and later the Colony
of British Columbia. Built in 1852 Helmcken House has survived the onslaught of
progress and remains today as it did then.”
CONDITION: Used; mailed - 1979. There is a thumb bend in one corner. .. Minor corner and edge wear. Light soiling and age tanning. Very Good condition.
