Gates OE type thermostat is a direct replacement for the original Toyota thermostat. This Gates version has a slightly lower opening temperature of 76.7 degrees. This makes it a good upgrade for MR2's which see the track or only driven in hotter climates. We have packaged this thermostat with a high quality replacement gasket.
