an antique, Jugendstil, circa 1910
table lamp / Tischleuchte
with it's original shade, attiributed to
Carl Hagenauer
1871/1872-1928, Vienna, the founder of Werkstätte Hagenauer Wien.
Please compare with a lamp in the
Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe / MK&G in Hamburg,
(here on the last 3 pictures)
and with Christie's Auction London, The Light, 10 May 2000, lot 17.
The metal parts are made of open worked / pierced
(we believe a) bronze patinated, hard pewter alloy,
the textile in the shade is old, seems original, the texture is fragile at a few spots,
a new textile, in the color of ones taste, would make it nice in a modern interior,
in the ring of the shade there are tiny holes - see the last picture, we do not know what they are for, perhaps for beads or crystals,
the old socket is of brass and porcelain,
height: circa 40 cm / circa 15.7 inch
width of the shade: circa 27 cm / circa 10.6 inch
the base messures: circa 11 x 11 cm / circa 4.3 x 4.3 inch
weight: circa 1535 gram
please note: 220Volt
