UP FOR AUCTION:

WISCONSIN IN THEIR BONES by AUGUST DERLETH.

[publisher: Duell, New York] Hardcover First Edition Octavo, pp. [1-10] [1-2] 3-265 [266-270: blank], original black cloth, front and spine panels stamped in green and gold. First edition.

Collects seventeen stories, most first published in the 1950s, "the House of Moonlight," published separately as a book by The Prairie Press in 1953. Along with COUNTRY GROWTH (1940) and SAC PRAIRIE PEOPLE (1948), the major repository of the Sac Prairie stories published during Derleth's lifetime.

This is NOT an ex-Library or Remainder copy!

A NEAR FINE book in a FINE- Jacket. Book appears unread, or carefully read once. Text block is compact and tight. Previous owner name to the ffep (with owner stamp mostly hidden under the front flap when it is on the book, but there for the picky collector to note.) Inscription of the original owner to new owner on half -title page. Super nice looking copy that would grade higher if not for the owner marks.  NO remainders, , underlining etc... decent looking book, just not quite crisp enough to grade higher. Dust jacket presents well in Mylar cover, UNCLIPPED dj with 7.95 price intact on the front flap of the dj. Hint of fading to the spine but NO rips/chips or tears. Scarce Book

All items are carefully packed in bubble-wrap and placed INSIDE a BOX for shipping.
BIDDERS, PLEASE NOTE: All images taken with a digital camera. I DO NOT use a scanner and any images of interior pages are taken carefully (The book is not flattened down to take images). Also I use a flash so some of the white "Hot" spots on the top and bottom of Books or along folds are caused by the flash and the reflection from the Mylar protector. Please refer to description for confirmation of condition.
