Publisher: L’Honoré & Châtelain Libraires, Amsterdam, 1724, first edition. Three volumes bound as one. Folio sized, 47cm, 18.5 inches, tall. Bound in full leather, marbled endpapers, all edges red. Good condition, with losses to the leather (see photos), but the boards are firmly attached, all the strings intact. Internally there is a little light spotting here and there, a few isolated marks, a few pages are lightly toned, there is some light water-staining to a small proportion of pages, one folding plate has light wear along one edge where it has been mis-folded, otherwise clean and bright.

Illustrated with an allegorical engraved frontisipiece by B. Picart, seven double-spread genealogical plates, six of which are very large folding plates, with coats of arms and maps, and views of Paris. There are also 63 full-page plates showing medallions surrounding a total of 242 views, maps and plans.There are also some decorative engraved vignettes. A beautiful book requiring some restoration of the binding, priced accordingly. 6kg
