Bolts are made for 7075-T6 Aluminum. 7075 Aluminum has a density of 2.81g/cc, while steel is around 7.85g/cc (approximate for steel as different alloys / grade of steel will vary slightly). Aluminum Bolts are for use with low stress applications, such as body panels, engine side covers, etc. Do not use is high load / high torque applications as this is not what they are intended for. Titanium Bolts, even though they are heavier than the aluminum bolts, are recommended for high stress applications.

We recommend a maximum of 6-7 ft/lbs of torque on these bolts as they might stretch under higher torque loads. This is typically enough to hold on body panels and seal gaskets of engine side covers.
