The Electra is an instrument that is very similar to the FH40 and has also had a great deal of acceptance.

It is a digital microprocessor based rate meter, which is compatible with most GM and scintillation survey probes and can be calibrated with an external probe for direct readout of dose rate or count rate.

The Electra was one of the first instruments available with internal data logging capabilities and the ability to be used with a wide variety of probes. It also comes with the option of an internal GM tube. This makes it very useful for measuring dose rates without having to disconnect its external probe.
