Fly with the 93rd Bombardment Wing La Vittoria (1957) in this handcrafted B-52G Model. Each piece is carved from wood and hand painted to provide a piece you'll love.
The model is of a B-52B, S/N 3396 , that I was assigned to in 1957. I flew my first training mission in this aircraft. The aircraft was one of three chosen to fly a non-stop around the world mission. For this mission, named Operation Power Flite, she was named La Vittoria, after a ship that sailed in the first voyage around the world, commanded by Magellan.
As B-52's have been seen all sorts of liveries, the first were all natural metal, with a gloss white underside that was designed to reflect off nuclear radiation. This was the livery of La Vittoria.
