These Southwest Speed Steering Manual boxes are perfect for the steering system in hot rod applications with straight axle setups: including Street Rods, Rat Rods, Hot Rods, T-Buckets, Model A's, 1923 - 1948 Fords, and many other vehicles. These boxes are constructed of modern high strength steel and needle bearings to ensure durability, which original boxes just can't offer.

Note: This Corvair steering box is not adjusted at the factory and therefore, it is necessary that the steering box be adjusted upon installation per the instructions as provided on the instruction sheet.

• Output shaft turns counter-clockwise looking straight at the end of splines

• Box has a swell in the casting that extends past the mounting legs that is an additional 1/4"

NOTE: Has a 3 bolt mounting flange. From mount hole closest to the input shaft to hole closest the output shaft is 2-15/16" From the same hole closest the input shaft to hole opposite of output shaft is 3 3/4". The remaining dimension between the two holes furthest from the input shaft is 2-15/16".
