A leather-wrapped grip ends in a heavy steel knob that not only counteracts the long blade, but also serves as a powerful weapon in its own right. The twisted spiral design on the knob is more than an attractive decorative feature; It also provides a comfortable and secure grip even on gloved hands or with gauntlets.

Finally, the German long sword is wrapped in a hand-sewn leather sheath with thick edges with an aged steel layer and leather straps with brass buckles to carry the sword in a belt or tahalí.
