The Wakizashi for practices has a carbon steel blade, which is hardened at the edge and also has a clearly recognizable hardness line (Hamon). Real beam skin was used on the tsuka, with a tsuka-ito to increase the quality of the grip.

The accessories of the Wakizashi are decorated with a horn-bush motif. It also has Dragon menuki and a beautiful iron tsuba with «sunbeam» design and a brass habaki.
