Willow Leaf Sword

This is the classic Chinese wide sword used by soldiers and civilians from antiquity to the 1940s. Its wide, heavy blade is distal conical to aid balance and has a perfect shape for all cutting, cutting and chopping strokes. For ease of handling, it comes with a long handle wrapped with cord, as well as a traditional brass protector and knob.

The high carbon content and lean alloy of this surface hardening steel make this a very resistant material that avoids much of the fragility commonly associated with high carbon materials. Particularly suitable for blades that require impact resistance, it is often seen on large fixed blades and blades.
