This beautiful petticoat is American and dates to the early 1900s~ . This textile was found in a trunk in Maine and all of the textiles dated 1900 ~a wonderful find~ would you look at all of that hand embroidery! I'm blown away , it's just so beautiful. Hours and hours of work for something most people would have never seen~ I could get lost in the details of this textile for house! ~ ~*~ Freshly laundered and ready to use. This textile is made from a lightweight cotton This would be fabulous worn on its own as a unique piece, used as part of a costume or theatre production, or simply hung in a room for display or used for design inspiration! It would also be wonderful for repurposing , a tote bag, pillows etc !
MEASUREMENTS: This gorgeous antique petticoat measures approximately 38 inches long by 28 inches waist.
CONDITION: I've freshly laundered this wonderful textile and it's ready to use! ~Please see above The button is missing . when held to the light, one can see about 10 very tiny holes ~ some very very pale marks that didn't fully wash.
