I just love the wonderful, minimalistic print on this vintage 1920s curtain! The ground is a lovely berry red color and the leaf pattern is a warm white tone. It was difficult to capture the exact tone of each in the photos; I would say the closest match to the white tone is the photo of the curtain up close; it shows the white tone well, but the red is slightly less saturated and more true to the photos of the curtain from a distance. I hope this explains the colors in this wonderful piece! This lovely piece is medium weight cotton, and still has the original metal rings attached through tiny loops at the top; they look like brass, but may not be; they are lightweight. This curtain is two sided; it was created by sewing together two separate panels of this fabric. The side that faced out has faded over time, but still is beautiful! This curtain would be fabulous hung again in a window or doorway, but could also be deconstructed to make wonderful pillows, used for light upholstery, or many other sewing projects! Beautiful for any period interior or midcentury modern home!
At the time of this listing, I have additional pieces of this lovely textile here!: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1109210643/lovely-vintage-curtain-red-and-white https://www.etsy.com/listing/1095795066/lovely-vintage-fabric-red-and-white
MEASUREMENTS: This panel measures approximately 105 inches long by 31 inches wide
CONDITION: I have left this lovely curtain panel in as found, unwashed condition for collectors, but it could be washed on gentle or hand washed and hung to dry. One side of the curtain panel is faded due to the sunlight over time, but the other side is a wonderful vibrant tone. The faded side has a couple of tiny marks and there is a small line in the print that was created during the fabric printing process. There is one tiny nubby spot in the weave on the unfaded side, but it's hardly noticeable! This textile is in really lovely condition!
