This scarce 16-page "Sports Extra" edition for the Daily Emerald is jam-packed with news stories, features and player photos from the rivalry game in Corvallis, Oregon that sent the Oregon Ducks to their very first Rose Bowl since 1958! As the front page headline blares: "SWEET!". Pictured on the front cover is offensive tackle Paul Wiggins for the Ducks, grasping a colorful red rose as he sifts through the throng of fans that made their way onto the field. The back cover (see 2nd pic) pictures Oregon stars Alex Molden and Chad Cota, as well as S. Malepeai. A highlight inside the Emerald pictures rabid Duck fans carrying a section of goalpost out of Parker Stadium....and there's a whole lot more great coverage of the game!!
