Here is a vintage unopened candy tin.   It is dated 1962 on the lid and features Mrs Leland's Golden Butter-Bits candy key wind can.  It is one pound size and measures 3 1/2 inches tall and has a 5 inch diameter.  It is pre-owned but never opened.  The content should be assumed to be expired.  There is some light wear on the painted surface and some light corrosion at edges.
