These are tyre liners for wheels sized 26 inches or 26x4.0 are usually known. They are 80mm or 8cm wide. You can use these on push bikes, e-bikes, or even motorcycles and scooters, but I have not tried this myself as I only have electric bikes. I got them as I was fed up with going through endless inner tubes. They are the perfect solution to those annoying punctures.
I am sure many cyclists can relate to getting a flat in the middle of winter, at the side of the road trying to think of the easiest way to repair your tyre to get home, braving cars, trucks, and buses. Well, this is my solution to punctures.

What are tire liners?
Tyre liners are a type of inner tube that is placed inside tires before they are inflated. They are made from a variety of materials, but the most common type is made from rubber. Tyre liners help to protect the inner tube from punctures and other damage that can be caused by road debris or sharp objects. They can also help to improve the ride quality of a bicycle by absorbing some of the vibrations that are transmitted through the road surface.
What is their purpose?
To stop you from getting more punctures and the dreaded walk of shame as you have to walk pushing your bike or heavy electric bike all the way, they sit in between your tyre and the inner tube and provide a strong barrier to thorns and sharp objects.
Are they easy to install?
Yes, they can be a little fiddly, which is annoying, but if I can install them you can, as I am useless with anything like this. I found it easy but a little frustrating at first, but now I can install them in a few mins after a lot of practice. You don't need any extra kit to fit them but you are really going to have to take the wheel off. You can do it by just deflating the tire and pulling the tyre off the rim so you can put the liner in, but I have not managed to do this. You will still need to let the air out of the tyre if you do this.
Do they work?
Yes, I have not had any punctures through the protective layer, and have heard of no one else yet, but there will be a limit to this protection. I am sure if a massive nail goes into your wheel, the liner may well struggle to protect your inner tube from this.
But they have stopped me from having those really annoying small punctures, which can be frustrating when you get a puncture if you are in the middle of nowhere on your bike.
Are they reusable?
Yes don't see why not, but after you take your liner out after use, it will look very battered, lots of deep grazes in mine, but they still have not failed.
How long do they last?
That is a difficult question to answer as it depends on how much cycling you do. I have had mine for over a year and am still going strong, but I am sure there will be a limit. You should get a good couple of years out of them at the very least.
