This RAV4 transmission ECU is a very common fault for vehicles built between 2000 and 2005 causing transmission problems. The common symptoms are described as feeling as though the gears are slipping and then banging/jerking into place - commonly known as the Toyota RAV4 Harsh Shifting Problem.

If you have been to your local Toyota mechanic, you may have been told that the following fault codes where stored within the transmission: P0755 - Shift Solenoid B Malfunction, P0758 - Shift Solenoid B Circuit Electrical or P0750 - Shift Solenoid A Malfunction. These fault codes may clear but always return, usually on ignition cycle.

Removal and refit is simple. The ECU is located behind the passenger glove box and can be easily removed by removing the glove box door and then unbolting the ECU from its bracket.

Not all parts can be repaired. If your part is not repairable, we will refund your payment and ship it back to you (there may be a return postage charge). If you send in an item that does not match the one in the description, we will contact you and try to repair it if requested.

*Lifetime Warranty

The Lifetime Warranty covers the repair of your unit back to its original operating condition for any problems resulting from manufacturing or workmanship defects. All internal components and labour performed by ECU Testing LTD are fully covered. It is valid as long as you own the vehicle and is non-transferable. Shipping, removal, diagnostic, coding, programming, software download, and/or mechanic charges are not covered by the warranty. If ECU Testing LTD determines the part is beyond repair, we will either provide a replacement unit, or refund the entire purchase price, at our discretion. Factors that could void the warranty include, but are not limited to: water damage, fire damage, over voltage damage, part being damaged as a result of another defective part in the vehicle, damage caused by jump starting the vehicle, improper use, use in an application for which the part was not intended, or untimely return of core unit (if applicable).
