Bagration F1 is a corn hybrid from the Mnagor breeders that has a great honey flavor, large cob size, and versatility in processing. The plant is gaining in popularity also because of its yield and resistance to significant increases in temperature and drought.
Mnagor specialists should be given credit for the fact that each year more and more professional farmers switch from expensive Dutch seeds to more affordable ones which are not inferior in quality. That is exactly what hybrid Bagration is.
Among the world famous it can be compared to the hits of the cornfields - Megaton and Dobrynya. All three hybrids have very large cobs, but Bagration matures in 76-78 days after sprouting.
Corn Bagration - description:
The Bagration corn hybrid forms a long cylindrical cob (up to 23-25 cm), which is completely filled with large grains of bright yellow color. The taste is incredible.
Due to the impressive amount of sugars (more than 20%), we get a honey-like, top-grade delicacy, which is not only tasty, but also good for health.
A thin shell, which covers the grain, gives a special tenderness.
Another nice fact is that this corn is versatile, that is, it can be frozen and canned, and it will not lose its bright color and taste.
The Bagration hybrid belongs to the Sh2 category, and has the highest percentage of sugar.
The crop shows high resistance to most corn diseases and does not lose freshness for a long time.
Bagration corn - cultivation:
Growing corn does not require much effort, and care for it comes down to uncomplicated measures. It is necessary to know in what period it is better to sow, and how to properly fertilize, water, weed and loosen the soil.
Hybrid Bagration is a heat-loving plant and requires a high temperature for growth, so too early sowing will not give the desired yields. Seeds are sown directly into the ground in May, and mature cobs are harvested from the third decade of August.
