ENESCO JAPANESE HAND DECORATED 💮 PORCELAIN GINGER JAR FLORAL GOLD TRIM 1979 VTG
Up for your consideration is this Lovely Vintage 1979 Enesco Porcelain Ginger Jar. Originally, ginger jars were used for storing and transporting spices in Ancient China. They were used as containers for salt, oil but also rarer spices such as ginger, hence the name they got when they began entering the Western world. This beautiful porcelain jar with lid features a very detailed floral pattern that under close examination with an eye loop you can see that it is a combination of a print transfer outline and hand decorated / painted over that giving it a textured feel. Over that the jar has been accented with a gold trim for even more of a dazzling effect! This jar stands just under 6" tall and would make a great addition to your ginger jar collection or home decor. Please be sure to see all the other items we have listed.
