Thank you for looking at our listing. The Stone Turner '67 Fire Lighting kit  comprises a wood handled magnesium rod with a steel striker and an extending metal straw to help you blow gently right on the embers and get a roaring camp fire in moments.

The striker has serrations and useful ruler markings. The lanyard is nice and long to allow easy movement. It strikes big fat hot sparks easily - my 12 year old had no problems lighting cotton wool with it in damp conditions.

When you start a fire, you often have a bundle of smouldering tinder and need to get oxygen to the glowing embers to get the fire going. For this, our extending fire straw is an invaluable aid, allowing you to target the embers while not getting smoke in your eyes!

The pack comes in one of our drawstring micro-fibre bags, making it easy to keep everything together and with enough space for some kindling and cotton wool. We even throw in some charcloth to help you really get going
