23cm, 9 inches, tall, 246 pages. These three letters were issued as pamphlets, and are still individually stitched, but lack any wraps. The first letter is a first edition, the second a fourth edition, and the third a third edition. Very good condition, one owner name to the title page of the first letter, all with the bookplate of Eric Gerald Stanley, Rawlinson and Bosworth Professor University of Oxford, to the verso of the title pages.
Sydney Smith is here protesting the reforms to the Church proposed by the commission, with his customary acerbic wit.
20.5 cm tall, 8 inches, Letter I, 50 pages; Letter II, 44 pages; Letter III, 40 pages.
