"New York, New York" by Earl Mac Rauch - 1st EDITION 1st PRINT Paperback - Published in 1977 by Dell - 224 pages - Very good condition. Jimmy Doyle, an aspiring saxophone player, meets established USO band singer Francine Evans during V-J Day celebrations at the end of World War II. The two become a musical double act and, more importantly, fall in love. They quickly get married and start a family, however, their volatile relationship disintegrates over time. Years later, when both of them have successful careers, Jimmy and Francine find their paths crossing once again.  If you’ve seen the United Artists' picture staring Liza Minnelli and Robert De Niro, you’ll want to read the novel that spawned the film.  There is sa litle edge wear on the cover (see the scan), and there is a 3/4" light crease on the bottom corner of the back cover, but this book is still in very good condition.  No collection of Liza Minnelli or Robert De Niro items is complete without this book.
