The strainer part of the colander is made of food grade silicone,

and the grip on the handle is also silicone so will not get too hot 

for you to hold

***** Please note, the handle of the colander looks like it doesn't meet

 where the white meets the colour, but this is how they come and they 

come and how they are meant to be and work just fine *****

I have also added Food Tongs to the options, they are Stainless steel and Plastic. NOT for cooking or 

getting hot, just for cold foods only, great for salads, etc
