NEW BATES TECHNOLOGIES 627-14-8A-2 DIAMOND ABRASIVE LAPING STONES

NOTE: Used in sets of 2 or 3 depending upon lapping tool and size of finished Dia.. Composition is powder metallurgy of diamond in proprietary metal matrix (Heavy material like Carbide, Moly or Tung) composition. Originally made at 2.25" Dia but may have been ground to approximately 2.16" Dia. Can be reground in mandrel to a minimum size of 1.8" Dia using a Carbide wheel on an OD grinder using a Carbide grinding wheel. Finish is listed as a Grit of 1100 and produces a finish of 181um. Original material was cast/forged steel at between 35-42 Rc. to finish crank bearing Dia in connecting rods.
