HAVOLINE RACING Texaco trucker cap Chevron 1980s Havoline snapback hat Texaco


This is a previously-owned, adult-sized, white and black hat with “Havoline” printed on the front (Mohr’s brand, 100% polyester). It is a trucker-styled cap with a curved peak, a mesh back, and a plastic-snap adjuster in back (to quickly fit most wearers). Of note, the hat shows a few marks of discoloration on the bill and crown – it may need spot-cleaned or soaked for maximum satisfaction…





Havoline is a motor oil brand of Texaco, a former major oil company that is now merged with the Chevron Corporation. In 1972, they sponsored Emerson Fittipaldi, who became a world champion in Formula One. In 1978, they sponsored Janet Guthrie, a CART and Nascar driver. From 1986-2002, they sponsored the Robert Yates Racing #28 which is now the #38. Of note, Havoline's last sponsorship was with Juan Pablo Montoya in the #42 Dodge for Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates. At the end of the 2008 NASCAR season, Texaco Havoline officially ended their sponsorship with NASCAR and the Chip Ganassi Racing Team, bringing a 20-plus year relationship with the sport to a close…
