Phacops trilobite Devonian***Repaired and restored*** 13cm Phacops would be longer stretched out!

Devonian period. Morocco

Big old Phacops, a lovely big Phacops trilobite

Measures approximately 13.5cm long and 6cm wide it’s in a curved position so outstretched it’s longer! Big impressive trilobite example

It has been repaired in a few places and where it’s lost bits of shell it has had some restoration. I’ve pictured it as best I can in the pictures above! If you want more photos just ask I will highlight them for you! It’s been done reasonably well and very obviously.

They eyes have some nice details in places but aren’t perfect. It’s a nice big example and would look great in any collection

Devonian fossils are always broken this way. Fossils lay in all directions within the rock so the collectors have no way of knowing where not break the rock. A repaired trilobite is a real trilobite and an un repaired fossil is both rare therefore very expensive
