1896 Morgan dollar, Choice Almost Uncirculated, from a Morgan dollar collector's book. This specimen has the smallest minimal wear we have seen on a coin and not consider it Select MS or the like. Not to brag about its lustre, but a coin has retained plenty near all of its uncirculated lustre when the reflection of the magnifer's light hurts your eyes while looking. But we did find scant wear in the usual places of Liberty's check, cap circumference, eagle breast feathers, and wreath leaves. We always recommend to look hard at acquiring a high AU to forego paying the higher price of Mint State, if you don't think you'll look at the now-filled gap in your collection often enough to notice so much. This one, though, is +++ so you'd really think it's an MS coin. It's a notable addition to a collection!
