I have for sale a macerated cat in the shoe souvenir that is from pre 1908.  This souvenir is made from destroyed old U.S. paper notes that are no longer fit for circulation,.  This souvenir is 3 3/4 inches long and 3 inches high.  The U.S. Treasury sold the macerated pulp to local merchants who in turn made many different tourist souvenirs from the pulp.  This souvenir shows a cat with a pink bow around its neck inside a shoe.  This cat was apparently molded as a separate piece, then inserted into the shoe while wet to attach when dry.  This is the third cat in a shoe variety and by far the scarcest.  On the bottom there is a paper made of label that reads MADE OF U.S. GREENBACKS REDEEMED AND MACERATED BY THE U.S. GOVERNMENT WASHINGTON D.C., there is more but unreadable.  Please see more in my EBAY STORE at TE Collectables.  (18,095)
