Buying used golf balls is a smart thing to do, especially for the amateur that goes through a sleeve of balls per 9.... hahaha. I have collected balls over the years and amassed several. I've decided to sell on eBay.
The grading system I use is Good-Better-Best and Practice/Range. The condition description does not belong to a predetermined grading system by others. Basically a Good-Better-Best system with a fourth category used for Practice/Range balls. The Practice/Range category is the least desirable ball. These balls are typically cosmetically challenged with No cuts or obvious trauma to the ball. Scuffs, Logos and Sharpie marks might be present. The photos of the golf balls will be the balls you receive.
A description and photo of the balls will be listed. Typically the "lots" will include a mix of Good-Better-Best balls inclusive of different Brands and ball models. Review the photos to see the Brand and Model included in each lot.
GRADES..... All balls are Used unless specifically stated as New.
BEST...........Like new with very little or no wear. The Brand of ball typically found in the Best category are a more expensive ball when purchased new in a retail store. A logo or sharpie marking might be present.
BETTER......Slight imperfections, minor scuffs or discolorations that will not compromise the flight of the ball might be present. The Brand will be considered a mid range. A logo or sharpie marking might be present.
GOOD.........A very playable and acceptable quality ball. This ball might have minor scuffs or discoloration. A logo or sharpie marking might be present.
PRACTICE/RANGE......Typically cosmetically challenged. Discoloration, stains, logos, sharpie marks and possible scuffing can be present. These are great practice balls, and will not be missed if hit away and not found. The photos will help you to decide if this ball is for you.
