BO JACKSON 1990 DONRUSS MVP BC-1 - *Quadruple Error Card!! I noticed, there's actually 4 errors, and I have not seen another one of these, here's a list of each On-Card Error:
1. Purple KC Hat (put with thread skew) - it's obviously in CONTRAST with the Royal Blue Shirt. THIS is a HUGE Deal with this card because because all other examples I have seen the hat color matches the Shirt Color! This Card DOES NOT - Which makes it extremely rare! SSP /25 or less, I'd say based on age and I have not seen another on ebay with this "Contrast of Color" between the Hat and the Shirt! **Very important detail.
2. It looks as though there's a light blue with White Polka Dots - Exposed ONLY on the Left Side against neck, underneath his baseball Shirt - visible left side (most errors have this on them)
3. Right Upper Shoulder ERROR - going from his neckline on the Right side coming from Collar shows a different Color Blue seemingly "stitched" into the picture on the card during production? These 3 - the Purple Hat, Left Collar at Ndck the baby blue white Polka Dot shirt "semi" exposed and the Darker Blue Stitching on his Right Collar continuing along his Right Shoulder.
4. NO Period "." AFTER "INC". - This is a more Error in the late 1980's Donruss sets.
This BO JACKSON MVP Card is a tremendous find and easily a SSP That's in MINT+ Condition. I'm going to do some more research on this card giveb how much is going on within the many Obvious Errors Associated with this amazing find!!
What else could you want in a 34 year old MVP Card other than the Greatest Athlete of the 20th Century & a SSP Quadruple Error Card in MINT Condition. This is a terrific find and one that has a story. Who ever ends up with this gorgeous card is getting possibly something that I may keep the longer it's listed, because there's so much going on, I'm not sure how many, if anymore were printed. I'm going to find out.
