Package says: For use in lavatory sink applications where the wall tube must be extended before joining the existing plumbing system. Fits all 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" tubular. Smooth, soft white EVA insulating material fits snugly to tubular system and provides a barrier against burns, cuts, abrasions, and to avoid direct contact with piping as required by the Americans with Disability Act.
