NOTE 2: Colony Machine recommends all threaded parts need to have a tap and/or die used to remove excess plating.

This includes: nickel, parkerized, cad & chrome. Especially chrome.

This will ensure the threads are the correct size and will not gall during installation.

The reason Colony doesn't do this is two fold, 1: the part/s will rust in the package. 2: production cost would almost double the retail price.
