About This Rod
The Hamachi Nano Stalker S2™ is a 6'6" 2-piece spinning rod built on an ultra-high-tensile Nano Carbon blank — infused with nano resins for exceptional sensitivity while staying far more forgiving of the nicks and bumps of everyday fishing than traditional high-tensile carbon. This 1–2kg (2–5lb) variant is the lightest, most sensitive rating in the S2 range: a true finesse tool built for micro-lures and light soft plastics.
Paired with a 1000–2500 size spinning reel and lures from 2–10g, this rod is in its element working small soft plastics, blades and micro hardbodies for bream, trout, perch, whiting, flathead and light bass work. The blank's tip sensitivity telegraphs the softest bite through your fingers, while the nano-resin construction keeps real backbone in reserve for turning fish well above its rated class.

Is 1–2kg the right rating for me?

How does S2 compare to S3 and S5?
The S2 is a 6'6" 2-piece rod — the most compact and sensitive format in the range. The S3 is 7'0" 3-piece (more reach, still travel-friendly). The S5 is 10'0" 5-piece for long-cast shore work. All share the same Nano Carbon blank technology.
