The inverted Darlington circuit which has been used in a high-end audio amplifier is adopted as a D-PRE mic preamplifier, and the circuit has realized a large current and a low impedance by making an amplification element a multi-stage composition. As a result, the sound is based on a smooth texture that gives the mid-low range a firmness and luster, and you can feel a thick, natural openness and air. Some mic preamps are intentionally colored according to their usage and usage, while others naturally amplify the characteristics of each tone, but the D-PRE has a high-quality, untouched character. Aiming for "faithfulness to the original sound" to be reproduced, it has been carefully tuned and finished with flat characteristics over the entire frequency band.

Yamaha has developed a new high-quality custom-made operational amplifier "MG01" for the development of the MG series. Many operational amplifiers in the world emphasize electrical characteristics and efficiency, but we first focused on "sound quality" to create this operational amplifier. The MG01 operational amplifier is a self-confident product developed by optimizing internal components and wiring, and carefully examining materials such as high-quality silicon wafers and copper wires that exhibit superior characteristics.

Phantom power and PAD switch

The MG series is equipped with the phantom power required to use a condenser microphone that features wide frequency characteristics and high sound quality. Also equipped with a PAD button that attenuates the level of the input signal. Even if a high-output source is input, it can be set to an appropriate input level without distortion with a single touch, providing a clear mix environment at all times.

SPX digital effects

Effect processing sublimates the sound to a richer and more complete one. The SPX digital multi-effects processor installed in the XU / X model has 24 types of editable programs (6 types for MG06X) that can be edited in any field, and can color the sound in various ways. You'll be overwhelmed by its natural, realistic, high-quality reverb and delay sound.

If you connect the optional foot switch FC5, you can turn the effect on / off by operating the foot. (MG20XU / MG16XU / MG12XU / MG10XU)
