After saving Minnesota Vikings memorabilia for the past 35+ years, I am running out of room.

I need to free up a little space and let another Vikings fan add a few things to their collection.

This is an authentic, vintage Minnesota Vikings jersey #65.  I purchased this a long time ago and was hoping to have Neil Elshire autograph it for me.  It's time to let another AVID Minnesota Vikings and/or Neil Elshire fan add this little gem to their collection. 

The name plate is on the back, but the "Sand-Knit" tagging was removed before I purchased it.  Either way, it's the real deal.

The jersey was shortened at one time and it was probably relegated to practice use.

Neil James Elshire (born March 8, 1958) is a former professional American football player who played defensive end for six seasons for the Minnesota Vikings.

Career

Attended University of Oregon. 6'6" 260 lbs (198cm 117kg) Defensive End. In his six seasons with the Vikings, 81-86, Elshire tallied his career high in sacks with 9.5 with a total of 19 in his career, he also recorded one safety.

Personal life

He is currently the defensive coordinator for the Mountain View High School football team in Bend, Oregon,^[1] where he resides with his wife and five children.
