These are perfect for fishing in to dusk/ darkness, with out having to use a starlight just for a few hours. 

They are at there best when during the period of dusk when it is getting difficult to make out your rod tip into full darkness which is the best time for river chub and barbel and bigger canal fish we believe. 

LUNATOPES are non radioactive unlike the other items currently available on the market.

One of the best features is that they are rechargeable, time and time again, but no batteries/mains are required. 

They charge with light. UV light work best & quickest but you're head torch or any other light source will also work and generally will take just a few seconds.

The LUNATOPE light/glow when fully charged will be at its best and will glow very very bright for 20-30mins, it will then begin to dim down over the coming hours of 5-7hrs period. 

The initial brightness can be seen in the day light but not for very long if the area is bright, but in the dark and as the light dims the initial ultra bright light is very bright for around 20-30 mins. 

The units are made to be used in the dark, therefore the darker the area the brighter the light appears to the human eye. After the ultra bright light (20/30 mins) the unit begins to dim

In the dark the glow is visible for up to 7hours dimming over this period. 

Please note that the units work the best when they are not wrapped therefore no filter for the light to get through.

BUT THE GREAT THING IS AT ANY TIME YOU CAN SHINE A LIGHT ON IT AND YOU ARE BACK TO FULL BRIGHTNESS WITHIN SECONDS.
