Moyle Sherer (or Joseph Moyle Sherer) (18 February 1789 – 15 November 1869) was a British army officer, traveller and writer.

Published anonymously, this work is well attributed to the British army officer and traveller, Joseph Moyle Sherer. Moyle Sherer penned several travel works on India, Egypt and many more locations. He also wrote an historical work titled 'Tales of the Wars of Our Times'. This work discusses many places of Germany and mainland Europe in depth, such as Vienna, German Switzerland, Lugano, Bergamo, Lake Garda, Tyrol and Prague. A fascinating guide to nineteenth century Europe.

Condition: Please see photographs as part of the condition report: Contemporary calf binding. Small crack [approx 5.5cm] to the front board's upper spine. [does not effect the stability of the board]. Spine joints scuffed, and edges of the boards rubbed, binding remains firm, Gilt faded to the spine. Pages mostly clean with occasional spotting and light foxing.
