The second of five sets to come when the Force initially hit, 1977 Topps Star Wars Series 2 trading cards are instantly recognizable for their red borders. Continuing from where the first set left off, the 1977 Topps Star Wars Series 2 checklist runs from numbered 67 through 132. Base cards have images from the film, mixing horizontal and vertical layouts. Besides the color change to red, the borders are now a solid color. A caption gives a brief, often overly dramatic, take on what's happening on the card. The Star Wars logo and card number are inside a yellow "explosion" at the bottom of the cards. Card backs are a mix of story synopses and puzzles.
