This is part of our history of electronic music collection. From the origins of Chicago House, Detroit Techno, acid house, rave, uk hardcore then Belgian and German. To Jungle , Drum and Bass, Ambient and everything in between we are celebrating the music artists bands venues and events that shaped and molded all electronic dance genres.

From Larry Levan at Paradise Garage,Frankie Knuckles at The Warehouse to Alfredo at Amnesia. We go to Sunrise and Shoom, the Hacienda and Cream. Taking in Juan Atkins, Joey Beltram, Aphex twin Ray Keith and Goldie to name a few.

To all the labels that have been and gone, flyers from raves in Blackburn, Coventry and the London orbital( now theres a band) and all in between.

If you are an old raver or love dance music please take a look at all our collection.

Slammin' Vinyl was created in 1992 by Grant Smith and Paul Rooney to release their own music. Now Slammin' Vinyl is not only a record label but also a record shop and a rave event organisation. They also release tape packs from their events as well as compilation albums featuring Hardcore, Old Skool and Drum & Bass.

Red Alert and Mike Slammer released some of the greatest tracks from the 1993-94 era of breakbeat hardcore on their own Slammin' Vinyl label, typically featuring ruff breaks, uplifting piano-lines, dub riffs and one or two bits blatantly lifted from earlier dance tunes. :) In later years the label also released happy hardcore anthems Rushin' On Pink Champagne and Eye Opener and to this day Slammin' still organize some of the biggest raves in Britain.
