an authentic early 19th century,

Red Wine Glass

made between 1800 and 1840,

a funel shaped, faceted bowl, on a stem with 2 knops, a plain foot, most with polished-out pontil,

fully handmade: blown at the pipe, formed with wooden tools, hand cut and hand polished,

we have messured some and found heights between 12 - 12,5 cm. / 4.7 - 4.9 inch

and weights between 94 - 148 gram each,

not one is exactly the same as the other, they differ slightly in height, weight, form, cut and color, because they are all hand made before the industrialisation period and we have collected them over many years and places,

condition: very good - no chips, no cracks, no restoration, clear glass, authentic and honest signs of age and use, some have manufaturers imperfections,
