Fitment Details/Instruction
Fitment is very straightforward and simple to carry out, please see the steps below: -
- Remove OEM venting from appropriate location.
- Insert X3 Instrument gauges of your choice into your new vent pod. (e.g. temp, pressure gauge etc)
- Carry out any wiring work required on the vehicle to the gauges.
- Slide gauge into place, installation complete.
Some owners may opt to cut the airflow off for the particular area where the gauge pod is installed. You are welcome to do so however this is by no means a requirement!
Customisation
Please message us if you wish to customise your gauge pod - all of our orders are sent in a base black plastic which is sealed and ready to be painted in any colour of your choice. We can create custom colours in different plastics for you, however, if you wish to minimize the print lines it is best to get a close colour to what you plan on painting it. Black in matte or satin is a superb match for the OEM look/feel. By no means do you have to paint it though, there are plenty of nice filaments that really look great too without any post processing! We have a wide range of base material colours available including the following: -

*PLEASE NOTE - We use a specially formulated plastic coating which is very similar to the commercially available Plasti-Kote. If you wish to paint and finish the gauge yourself, please message us and we can arrange a cheaper price for the base plastic part, most commercially available paints compatible with plastic/polymers will work best.

*Please be aware, due to the item being made using FDM printing, small layer lines may be visible in some areas. We try our best to cover these up during the painting process, however, sometimes they may be visible upon very close inspection. They are nothing to be worried about and do not hinder the functionality of the product whatsoever, it is just where the filament has bonded together layer by layer.
