This is a rare staged 7" X 9" photograph of actors HENRY FONDA and REX HARRISON (stamped on the backside Feb. 4, 1960). The reason the two actors were photographed together is anyone's guess. Both men are looking at the sheet music for the song "I've Grown Accustomed To Her Face", which REX HARRISON first sang in the 1956 Original Broadway production of the ALAN JAY LERNER and FREDERICK LOEWE musical classic "MY FAIR LADY" and again in the 1964 motion picture of the same name. The Tony Award winning "Best Musical" opened March 15th, 1956 at the Mark Hellinger Theatre in New York City and ran for 2717 performances. The show starred REX HARRISON and JULIE ANDREWS as "Eliza Doolittle" and featured STANLEY HOLLOWAY, ROBERT COOTE, VIOLA ROACHE, PHILIPPA BEVANS, JOHN MICHAEL KING, REGINA WALLACE, OLIVE REEVES-SMITH, ROBIN CRAVEN, GORDON DILWORTH and ROD McLENNAN ..... CREDITS: Music by FREDERICK LOEWE; Book and Lyrics by ALAN JAY LERNER (Lerner and Loewe collaborated on "Brigadoon", "Paint Your Wagon", "My Fair Lady", "Camelot" and "Gigi") based on "Pygmalion" by BERNARD SHAW; Sets designed by OLIVER SMITH; Costumes designed by CECIL BEATON; Choreographed by HANYA HOLM; Directed by MOSS HART; Produced by HERMAN LEVIN .....
