Brand new RT12180EV 12 volt battery - 18AH capacity - High rate + cyclic application capable.
One of our colleagues has successfully used this battery type with their caravan.

It is much smaller, lighter and cheaper than the original battery on the caravan, but perfectly adequate for their uses.
They can use the electric motors to move and hitch/place the caravan. The cell provides some power when running on its own but as the caravan is always hooked up to mains supply the capacity of a large cell is not needed. Old cells used to be needed when there was an extra charge to hook up with electricity, but now that a hook up has to be supplied as law there is no need for a larger cell.
There is a photo of how he wired it in place. There is more than one way to do this. If you want, ask for some spare wires when you order this and we'll see if we have some on the scrap pile, then you have something to connect to rather than the terminal block.
It also helped reduce a tenancy for this caravan type to have a nose heavy weight configuration. The old cell was 20KG, the new 6KG.
There are two types of terminal External called F3 (which looks like a square tab protruding from the cell with a hole in it that you bolt into) and the type that bolts in F13 (which is a threaded metal hole in the top that you bolt down into the cell)

All of our consignments are sent fully insured on a 24 hour service with our carriers. We cover all problems that occur in transit. We can ship to the EU (transit time varies) and have experience packing and shipping to overseas destinations. The EU shipping costs are estimated only, please contact us for confirmation before ordering. Large UPS may be palletised or shipped with the UPS in one box, and the cells in another. We have the packing materials to make sure that there are few problems in transit. Our warehouse is based in the UK. VAT is included in the buy it now price, and if you are VAT registered you will be able to reclaim this. VAT Invoices are sent automatically as a PDF file, via email, as part of our automated dispatch process. |
